Tiernan Bradley

Omagh stylist Tiernan Bradley enlisted by the Notorious ahead of August 26 megafight.

A young boxer from County Tyrone will help Conor McGregor prepare for his massive summer showdown with Floyd Mayweather.

UFC star McGregor will make his boxing debut on August 26 when he takes on undefeated ring legend Mayweather in Las Vegas.

The Irish MMA star has started to assemble a team of fighters that will help him hone his skills for the clash, and it includes a 20-year-old from Omagh.

Tiernan Bradley will join up with the Notorious to help with sparring ahead of the August 26 bout.

Tiernan boasts over 100 amateur wins and is one of Ireland’s big hopes of securing a medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

He is a 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games silver medallist and 2017 Irish elite semi-finalist.

Tiernan began training with McGregor at the Straight Blast Gym in Dublin on Monday after being recommended by another former McGregor sparring partner – Conor Wallace.

He said on his Facebook account: “So it’s official!! I’m Team McGregor, contracts signed for the next two weeks I will be one of his three sparring partners down here in Dublin!

“Great opportunity to be apart of one of the biggest fight in combat sports history which should surpass all records!

“I will give my all to make sure McGregor is at his best so we can really make history!”

Also included in McGregor’s sparring team will be Dashon Johnson from the US and Louis Adolphe from the UK.
